Zakk Wylde’s First Book ‘Bringing Metal to the Children’ Hits Retailers on April 10th
Zakk Wylde releases a new album . . . wait no, that’s not right. It’s a book. Zakk Wylde, musician, songwriter, occasional actor, and now author is releasing his first book titled Bringing Metal to the Children on April 10th. Don’t let the title fool you — unlike the title suggests Wylde’s book does not cater to rug rats. Bringing Metal to the Children is more of a heavy metal handbook that reveals the secrets to surviving life on the road.
Wylde, former guitarist for Ozzy Osborne and founder of Black Label Society, lifts the veil for readers as he discusses the life of a touring artist–from enacting a shooting range on a tour bus to surviving a moshpit to post-show etiquette. Wylde’s book is a wild ride through the life experiences of a true rock superstar. And before you even start your journey, Wylde gives readers a little pretest. If you’re not sure you’re ready for such an in-depth analysis of pure rock superstardom, this “TRT” (True Rocker Test) will surely answer your question.
Bringing Metal to the Children is Zakk Wylde’s first book. It is published by William Morrow, a HarperCollins imprint. The book is written by Zakk Wylde with assistance from Eric Hendrikx. It will hit shelves April 10th.
