After announcing that Disturbed may be going on hiatus after their tour wraps up, singer David Draiman has tried to make sure the fans know there are no internal stuggles within the band.
Draiman has now told Billboard.com that the cause of the band’s upcoming break-up is the music industry.
“Many of those reasons are personal reasons and many of those reasons have to do with the state of the music industry in general and the demise of hard rock and metal right now.”
“The industry is still in a state of reformation,” he added. “It is on the verge of collapse, in my opinion. It’s a frightening time, and I think after 10 to 12 years straight of touring it’s just a good time for Disturbed to go away for awhile and wait for the Phoenix to rise from the ashes.”

Do whatever it takes to get back out there touring, if it's a legal thing, change the name of the band, if it's a venue problem, rent a cruise ship and take us out into international waters, I don't care, I'll be there, you guys kick ass and your type of music isn't going anywhere but up, your following is getting bigger every day!
Don’t back down the music industry wants you to quit as long as metal and rock is played it will never die I would follow Disturbed to the end of the world and back with a blood sacrifice to see you guys in concert.
